Title:  Does anyone knows ...
Comment:  Does anyone knows the format/protocol used for the transmition from mars? There is too much material about the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter that, and I haven't dug through it all. The XVD and VICAR documentation also don't covers things like the JPEG compressed images mentioned in the video. Anyone can point me directly to the relevant information? The 437 MHz frequency used by it can be captured even by TV tuners, apparently. If it isn't encrypted, people could collect those images directly.

Comment:  If you really are a skeptic, then go ahead and do your homework like a good skeptic. Take these images and check them against all the evidence available. See if you can match that one specific geologic configuration with the Navajo desert. See if you can find the same hills, slopes, and terrain on Earth. It's not very difficult using 3D elevation maps. Also compare them with elevation maps of Mars. You'll find that they match Mars perfectly, and no place on Earth.

Title:  Perhaps I'm a ...
Comment:  Perhaps I'm a sceptic,... but when they say, you could think that we at NASA/JPL could be fooling you with these images, because they look like we've just placed the 'rover' in the Navajo desert, with some LA 'smog' in the far field, that it could be mistaken for a panorama from earth,.... . They could be actually telling us the truth. I hope NOT, but anyway, keep both your eyes & mind open as you see the images & functions being shown. . Enthusiasm can blind.
