A year ago I interviewed Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck and he shared the belief of many authorities, that the war on terror is far from over. That is true, but what we’re seeing a year later is not the discussion of national security itself, but heightening this topic as a political token, well, just as expected. President Obama and the assumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Ronmey traded ideas on the credit of killing Bin Laden starting yesterday. Romney acknowledged that Obama has the right to claim credit for ordering the mission in Pakistan, but said Obama is politicizing the issue and was wrong to suggest that he would not have done the same thing. Obama, in response, denied politicizing the Bin Laden raid and mentioned Romney said several years ago that it is not worth a tremendous effort to go after one person. The Obama campaign so far spent $780,000 in advertising in battleground states Virginia, Ohio and Iowa. It accuses Romney of having ""shipped American jobs to places like Mexico and China"" when he led the investment firm Bain Capital. It also says Romney ""outsourced state jobs to a call center in India"" when he was the governor of Massachusetts.
